My name is, Jim, I am now 80 years young. I have been working with PJ three times a week for over 10 years now. When I started with him I was dealing with chronic pain in my neck, left shoulder, and left arm. He was recommended to me from my primary care physician. Once I began working with PJ, he quickly alleviated my pain by activating certain muscles. Once cleared of pain he then developed a strength training regimen tailored to my conditions and needs. I went to four neurologists and got four different answers on my back. From shave a disc to double artificial disc replacement.  I decided against them all. I found PJ. It’s been 7 years and I never went into the operating room.

I see PJ weekly regardless. Regardless if in pain or not.

“Keeping us strong and active”

My name is Kathy, I am soon to be 70yrs old and started with PJ 15 yrs ago as a personal trainer.  My goal was to strengthen with the intention of running a 5k and improving my golf game.  I had a different “Golf trainer” before PJ and unfortunately we pretty quickly realized that traditional training wasn’t working for me.  My back became very painful.  I was having difficulty getting out of bed in the morning, getting to work and just moving from sit to stand was difficult.  I couldn’t run at all.  Fortunately PJ could see what was happening.  I saw a surgeon who recommended pain management and PT.  I had facet  joint injections and PT but neither took the pain away for good.   PJ then referred me to a friend of his who had just completed a different style of training.  So while PJ got this training, I worked with his friend. And then I came back to PJ with his new perspective.  I can honestly say that I am stronger now than I was.  I know that I am able to play golf and take care of my house because I exercise and have PJ directing my program.  It’s not to say that I never have pain because I do, if I overdo my activities in relation to my strength and endurance.

My husband saw PJ about 10yrs ago for a torn rotator cuff.  PJ was able to help him get strong enough to avoid surgery and live pain free in that shoulder since then.  Then in 2020 he decided he needed PJs help again for another pain he had developed in his hip and resumed training with him.  He also realized that having PJ supervising and directing his exercise is important in keeping him strong and being able to continue playing golf 3x week and work at 72yrs of age.

“Truly helped recovery from surgery”

My journey to knee replacement… at age 71. I have a bad back, a bad shoulder, and needed a new knee. I did not know where to go for exercise, then I discovered PJ. For the first two months, I met PJ once a week, and I really needed to meet more often to strengthen my knee and other areas of my body; I continued two times a week for four months up until my knee replacement.

PJ was extremely intuitive and funny and caring as we continued to strengthen my body and knee. After surgery I was walking unassisted my first week… I was shocked! My two week check-up with surgeon was amazing… he gave me a “10” for my recovery; the surgeon said I prepared extremely well before surgery which truly helped in my recovery. I am so grateful to PK for helping me through this journey…

My name is Jan, I am 53, and I started working with PJ on a regular basis around 8 years ago due to low back and neck pain. I am a business executive, an avid exerciser, and love being physically active, so having chronic aches and pains was affecting my lifestyle.
